Errand day
Today is errand day - not much running around outside of the house - but rather running around inside the house. Tom came home on Wednesday night with a cold. We hauled all of his stuff into the house that night and it has been sitting in the livingroom ever since. I do not believe in putting his stuff away :) so I waited until today and then I suggested, rather strongly, that he gather his belongings and get them stored away again.
I didn't do dishes yesterday and goodness it showed! I didn't have a single glass left in the house. I thought about using the bunny, but instead she just helped wash up. Don't you love her soap bubble hat?
Dishes done.
Laundry. Lots and lots of laundry.
Vacuuming.
Breakfast, lunch, snack and later, dinner.
I have some sewing to do, too. One of my tenants told me that the seam had ripped on one of the fitted sheets and he asked me if I wanted him to throw it away. I about dropped the phone. Throw it away? Goodness, no. I told him, if he didn't mind, I'd come pick it up and sew it for them. The sheets are just two years old and still look and feel new, so they are not in need of replacing. The funny thing is that I know his wife wouldn't throw away sheets because of a small tear in the seam, so I know he didn't talk to her about it :)
The end of the month bills - done.
I did run over to my garage and brought out my tabletop Christmas tree and the three bins of decorations. I'll plug the tree in tonight. I'm excited about that - I love the lights. I often wonder if the magic of the Christmas lights on the tree ever goes away. So far it's been 43 years and I am still entranced by the lights on the tree.
I have a photo of me as a kid under the tree, I'll see if I can find it. It's cute.
Ah, the dryer has stopped. Better go fold and put away.
I hope you've had a wonderful day!

I'm in LOVE with that bunny - - - more and more each time you show her!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Keetha! Sweet green bunny, you are never going to leave Florida...are you?!
ReplyDeleteI do believe the bunny is going to leave Florida, but it may be in 2010!
ReplyDeleteI'm petrified to break her, so it won't be too much longer - but I was in desperate need for a muse LOL
Sounds like a busy day. I am in love with the bunny! As I just typed that I see that Keetha said the same thing. (I didn't copy)
ReplyDeleteI love the bunny's sudsy hat. I wish she hopped by and helped me with the Thanksgiving day dishes. I used the good china and I'm afraid to put it in the dishwasher.
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas lights too!
I love that bunny especially the sudsy hat. I love christmas lights and I'm sure i'll never be sick of them. I plugged a few in already. I won't put up a tree for another week but I can't wait. I want some snow so my over the top christmas spirit will be complete.
