I am totally caught up with watching Gone with the Wind. It's on TMC and there are no commercial interruptions. I haven't seen it in a very long time and I'm just engrossed! I've got a million things that I want to share, post, talk about, link to and blab on - but I'm totally head over heels in love with this movie.
So I'm not even going to pretend to write a blog post on something else :)
...but I have to say - can you imagine wearing all of those giant petticoats and hoops. Goodness!
I hope you have a delightful day.
Kristin
Last summer I read the book, having never before done so. It was fabulous - - - even better than the movie, if you can imagine that!
ReplyDeleteIn the book she has several children that I don't remember being in the movie - - - so since you just watched it, you can answer my question!!!
Did she have a little boy, Wade, by Charlie? And a little girl (I can't remember the name) by Frank Kennedy? She sure did in the book - - -
All I remember from the movie was Bonnie Blue by Rett.
Keetha, she just had Bonnie Blue in the movie. I need to dig out my book and actually read it!
ReplyDeleteI love that movie.
ReplyDeleteDo you remember when Carol Burnett spoofed Gone with the Wind and she sat down in her hoop skirt? I crack up when I think about that hoop way up in the air and her long bloomers.
ReplyDeleteIt has been years since I've watched GWTW.
I haven't seen GWTW in so long. I should look to see if I can catch it on TMC still.
ReplyDeleteI've worn petticoats and hoopskirts. It's pretty easy to maneuver once you get the hang of it. The only problem is trying to drive a car in a hoopskirt - pretty much impossible. when I do a historical gig I usually drive in my bloomers (worn over modern undergarments) my husband still jokes with me and calls me "lewd." :)
