You know - - - sugar plum fairies, sugar cookies, sugar, sugar, sugar - - - WHERE IS IT???
I had the BESTEST surprise in the mail yesterday when I got home from school. SOMEONE, I wonder who, sent me a movie that I had discussed with said someone MONTHS ago. Now WHO could have been THAT thoughtful??????
Thank you soooooooo much.
I'll be blogging about it once I get HOME from school and finals and class parties.
I have tried to make Martha Washington candy (my grandmother's recipe) for the past several years. The past two years, the kids have made it. It was nice to hand it off to them and let them handle it :)
is that a spoon holding the flour - it's so pretty and decorative. I baked sugar cookies with royal icing and sprinkles last weekend. This weekend, i'm doing molasses cookies!
I am actually baking nothing this year. I have to work 24 hours on both the 24th and the 26th.... it will probably be pre-made cookies for Santa this year.
I usually make candy, but got a huge gift of cookies, so that took care of my Christmas baking for me. We are making a gingerbread house though. Since it's the first one I've ever done, I got a kit. Depending how the kit house comes out, I might try making one from scratch next year.
I haven't decided yet, I have to many new ideas from blogging this year! I always make Muddy Buddies from Chex! They have a new one I am going to try too. I have tons of supplies and plan on baking all this next week. I will try to post.
I have yet to bake a thing. But as I lie in bed last night, that was the thoughts in my head...what to back this year! I think today I will make cream drop fudge. I think Christmas Eve I will make a coca cola cake. And I will make a hasbrown casserole to take to moms on Xmas day. That recipe is on my plates and places blog...though it isnt baked. Well...actually it is! What are you cooking up in JAX?
