POTD - Meet the Pelican
I met Mr. Pelican here, over in the Tampa Bay area during a beautiful sunset. I was literally a few feet away from him and I was nervous. I shouldn't have worried too much, there were a ton of people on the pier and this pelican was an obvious regular. I still believe in a healthy respect for wild animals, so I chose to keep my hands and feet inside the vehicle...I mean next to my body.

ReplyDeleteI'm happy to see a seacoast creature that isn't covered with petrol products. And now I remember you aren't on the Gulf Coast.
ReplyDeleteI'm always surprised at the number of gulls we have here in inland Michigan. We're 50 miles from Lake Michigan, and probably 70 miles from Lake Superior. But if you have a bag of popcorn 13 will appear in a nanosecond!
