I saw this interesting little storage shed with a rope swing hanging from the big tree in front of it when I was driving around Foley, Alabama. There was a large circle drive, so it was easy for me to park, too.
Were you ever able to swing on these swings? I never was. I didn't have the upper arm strength to stay upright. I needed to have a tire or a disk or a swing or something. I just couldn't have much fun with the knotted rope.
I realized as I was pulling into the circle drive that there was an animal farm right across the way.
It was a GOAT farm!
and there were baby goats and momma goats!
Of course I spooked them, walking up to the fence.
So I hung back for the remaining photos.
No, no, momma, I won't hurt you or your kids.
It was fun to finally have some goat photos on The Goat!
Please go by Unknown Mami to see more people showcase the towns they live or visit. It's a great group and I'm happy to be a part of it.
Have a great day!

I LOOOOOVE goats! Especially babies. Adorable!
ReplyDeleteooo, baby goats are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love goat cheese.
Goats rock! :)
Happy Sunday!
I agree that the baby goats are very sweet. My friend who has sheep also has a few goats, and though they were intended to be productive in some way, she claims that they are just there now for their comic value. Hers are very funny.
ReplyDeleteGoats are awesome :-) We had goats at our high school when I was a kid and I used to be on the roster to go and visit them in the school holidays to feed and milk them.
ReplyDeleteLove the goats too, so cute.
ReplyDeleteDidn't have a rope swing as a kid in Tennessee, but the next best thing... a tire swing!
Oh those goats are precious. I like the worn look of that shed as well. Like you, I've never been able to swing on those ropes :)
ReplyDeleteLove the photos and yes I could swing on those but not for long..I never had good upper strenth.
ReplyDeleteSuch great photos! I can last on one of those rope swings for about a minute and a half. :) Much prefer a swing!
ReplyDeleteGoats ~ that is awesome! What a pretty spot and that shed is so darn cute.
ReplyDeleteI have been on a few rope swings and actually can remember climbing a rope in gym class. Boy those days have been over long ago.
ReplyDeleteThe rope swings by water are challenging for some. I'm sure you have seen those videos of people forgetting to let go.
A very pretty spot! I'm glad you hung around to see mamma feed her baby. Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteThat last picture is soooooo funny - - - "The End(s)"
ReplyDeleteI have a weakness for goats. They have a reputation for being very fast and coordinated but also very curious. As often times curiosity is associated with intelligence, I think they are also veery smart animals. Thank you for the pictures. Very endearing.
ReplyDeleteThose little "kids" are so adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the goats! Perfect.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I couldn't handle a knotted rope swing either. I was such a girly girl. I wonder if I could now?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Yes, you need more goat photos!
