What possessed someone to put this lock up so crooked?
I get such a kick out of things like this.
Somebody just slapped it up there without care or concern.
But I guess it keeps the door shut.
I'm not sure why I get caught up in silly questions like this. Here is my WAG (do you know what that stands for?) Poor planning - you see the row of nails just above the hardware holding the lock? That means there is a support piece behind that spot on the door. Now the hardware needs two bolts to go thru the door. So the hardware can not go up any further. The poor planning is the hook on frame apparently was put on first and too far up. The only way to reach the hook/loop was to angle the hardware. Very sloppy workmanship.
Looks like my shed! :)

I think maybe I know the handyman who did that job. Mr. It Stays Shut, Doesn't It?
ReplyDeleteIf it's so old and rusty I bet you could get in there pretty easy if you wanted too.
