POTD - Merry Christmas


POTD - Merry Christmas

This fabulous Christmas Tree with multi-colored lights was something I discovered in a park in St. Augustine.  I had been wanting to find a public tree so I could practice my "bokeh" technique.  Bokeh is the out of focus background in a photo.  In this case, I chose to have the entire picture to be out of focus so that the Christmas lights would blur.

    I've been seeing that word pop-up often lately. I thought it was about making the picture look like some cheap camera that was made years ago. Maybe I got the wrong term.
    The out of focus tree makes me think of someone who got too merry at the party.

    I love this photo. I have been trying to do this. Sometimes I am dead on and other times I can't do it. I love this look!
