I was searching for a fun graphic to put with my Very First Blogging Giveaway and this one made me laugh!Welcome Welcome one and all to my birthday week. My birthday is on Saturday, October 18th and I will be 42 years old. I've been testing out that age for about the last 6 months. In fact, I was a little shocked when I realized I wasn't turning 43! I'd been saying I was 42 for so long that I had forgotten that I was just testing it out.
This week, however, is all about you!
I have never done a giveaway. I've thought about it, but never done one.
So here we go!
I was thinking about food. Birthday food. Sometimes birthday food is a nice meal in a restaurant or it can also be a favorite meal, a potluck, a surprise party or a cake.

My favorite meal is a restaurant meal from Maggiano's Italian Restaurant. It is the Mushroom Ravioli in an Alfredo sauce with a nice side of broccoli. Yum!!!
One of my favorite things is ICE. In honor of my love of ice. The gift for today is this fabulous Puzzle Ice Tray. I will randomly select one of the comments at 10pm Monday October 13th and post the result here on this post.Good Luck and I can't wait to see all of the birthday meals!

So, I'll randomly select a name from the comments at 10 pm Pacific time tonight. So far all of the birthday meals sound real good. I was so hungry when I started reading all the great food I went into the kitchen and made a salad. hahahaha

On my birthday I usually go to a Japanese restuarant. I love the food, and it is expensive so it is a special occasion that I get to eat there.
I would top it off with the strawberry cake from Ashley macs (search my blog). I am not even a cake fan...but AM-heaven.

Man, we hav a LOT in common! We flip houses as well, and I turned 43 on Sept 24. (Jerk for being younger!) So glad to meet you!
Oh yeah, I love Maggiano's and their Mushroom Ravioli, TOO! Anything Italian for my birthday meal. And for dessert, my mom's raisin pie. BEST THING EVER!!!!!!

This year Shad took me to Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen (http://www.pappadeaux.com/) for my b-day!!! It was sooooooooooooooo yummy!!!! I had Oysters On the half shell for an Appetizer and then I had Pontchartrain Panbroiled Salmon Fillet Topped with crabmeat & shrimp in a brown-butter wine sauce served with dirty rice and steamed veggies! OMG was I even full!!! Lets just say I didn't eat half of it! I ate it for lunch and dinner the next day!!!! =)

Oh wow what would i choose for my birthday dinner? one of two restaurants silver flame which is a lebanese type cusine or gauchos which is abrazillion steak house type of cusine LOL

I like the idea of a birthday week. I think we should all have that.
My favorite meal is anything I don't have to cook, I'll be honest.
Matthew sometimes cooks birthday dinner for me, sometimes takes me out.
My favorite birthday dinner was at a small restaurant owned and run by a female chef here in Indy, RBistro. I had eggplant rollatini with an artisinal cheese sampling for desert. The best part was that it was 50th, and he invited 4 of my closest friends to join us (plus surprising me with a lovely tennis bracelet). The whole evening was so wonderful, I nearly forgot the year he completely forgot my bday:)

I just turned 41 on my last birthday in August. We didn't go out this year, but my ideal birthday meal would be:
Fried Shrimp Po-boy (little crispy shrimp--not big ones)
Cole Slaw--with extra pepper
Pecan Praline Bread Pudding--with extra sauce.
YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY
I am going to have to go with P.F. Changs here for the place I would get my birthday meal! And I would have to have lettuce wraps to start the meal off!
And dessert would be from Coldstone Creamery.....the coffee lover's in a waffle bowl! :-)
