I spent so much time today at my house, cleaning up, finding things, arranging, hugging the kitty, and trying to make sure that I got everything that I wanted to take to Michigan, that I left really late.
I didn't just leave late.
I left really really really late.
3pm.
Ugh. That means that I only drove until about 8:30pm. I just can't drive too long at night, I get too sleepy. Not to mention the next section was the mountainous portion of the trip and I really dislike driving the mountains at night.
So, here I am, just a few miles from the North Carolina border in a cheap motel.
It may be a cheap motel, but it's got free wireless internet!! and pillow top mattresses and a mini fridge. Usually I stay at a Hampton Inn (I like staying at hotel where the doors to the rooms are on the inside of the hotel) but I decided to chance it tonight. The sign said "new rooms" and I do believe that's mostly true. I think it's more new beds, new TV and a new wallpaper border. haha
The fly that's in my room may not make it through the night though...I think I'm going to start chasing it here in a moment.
I'm off to read some blogs (and kill this fly) and put my feet up. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
