College towns tend to have an eclectic vibe to them. Arcades, graffiti art, old cars in a crazy color and the weekly bar specials are just some of the things that can be found in a college town.
These specifically can be seen in just a few square feet. I hardly moved to capture all of the photos below.
For more Sundays in My City please visit Unknown Mami. She has a great group of folks that show off their towns around the world. Thanks, Mami!
Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteThat car shot is really cool, love the color and great photos.
ReplyDeleteOoh Im loving the last shot..I always enjoy stopping by :)
ReplyDeleteYeah for college towns. I know Madison somewhat better than Ann Arbor or East Lansing, but they are always a happenin place, that's true. Especially on a football Saturday.
ReplyDeleteSome very eclectic views from standing in almost one spot!
Very enjoyable post. I miss the days when my sons were in the CA college towns of Davis and San Luis Obispo. Both were delightful.
ReplyDeleteI love college towns! My son had that car in yellow, it was so cute.
ReplyDeleteThis was awesome. Love the pink elephant and the orange VW.
ReplyDeleteI cannot begin to count all the quarters I dropped at Pinball Pete's...for years and years...not to mention all the beers I drank at the Riv!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a delightful wander around EL!
Go Green!
What a great idea! I'm going to try that-- standing in one spot and seeing how many different photos I can take to capture the location. Fun!.
ReplyDeleteHappy SIMC, jj
I love the orange car. I like any place with a quirky personality.
ReplyDeleteI love all the ads for the cheap drinks! Definitely tell it's a college town at that point!
ReplyDeleteI agree. The orange car is very interesting. I think I'd love to live in a college town.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people from my job are from Lansing, I'll have to share this with them and ask them if they've ever been to the GOAT! I've never been, but from the pics, it looks like a pretty cool place.
ReplyDeleteVery cute neon elephant.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you have a wonderful week.
Iowa City (University of Iowa) is like that too. Great culture and forever youthful. As always great photos!
ReplyDeletevery cool and interesting set :)
ReplyDeleteI had that VW, but it was yellow! And it smelled like hamburgers whenever I turned on the heater.
