POTD - Bees in Trees

In my wanderings I found this lovely tree all budded out in purple splendor. When I approached I realized that the darned thing was just teaming with bees! Thankfully there were more tempting treats in the tree than on me :)

Oooh, how very pretty and springy! I remember finding a tree like that last year when I was testing the rented 85mm. I heard the bees before I could see them.

they can make quite a noise when they assembly for shopping nectar.
I'm amazed at the flowers and bees in February - - - we're still a frozen tundra up here.
