Powered Parachute
Every so often the excitement on the beach in Jacksonville, FL isn't the beautiful bodies, dolphins in the water or a cool beach umbrella, but something flying over the beach. On this day it was a man riding in a powered parachute that was the main attraction for a few minutes.
Powered parachutes often have a little go kart type frame with wheels, but in this case the person flying high is in a sling contraption that acts as a seat, feet dangling free. There's a motor and a propeller on the back which keeps the parachute and rider aloft. I can only imagine the beautiful views this person was witnessing.

Have a great day!

I'm afraid of heights, but this kind of looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteDo you go to the beach often? I wonder if I would if I lived that close.
This is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing and the beach......I love your beach photos. Thanks for bringing the beach to me.
ReplyDeleteThe last time we were visiting Fisherhubby's dad in Naples we saw some of these. They are just spectacular flying above the waves, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteYour photos, as always, are gorgeous.
Beach...we have still a couple of months to enjoy beach life in Finland! :)
ReplyDeleteWe have still some snow left...sigh
Happy Sunday!
Your beach is beautiful and that looks to be the perfect way to appreciate the view.
ReplyDeleteI have always thought that looked like so much fun! If I wasn't a scaredy cat : )
ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun! Once I took a ride on a parachute over the water from behind a boat. I will never forget that. The Florida coast has so much to offer!
ReplyDeletePowered, that is so cool! I think that would be fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the orange against the blue sky. Much prettier than a standard jet pack.
ReplyDeleteThat looks exciting but I would probably be worried I would steer it wrong or crash.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a ton of fun! Wish I wasn't terrified of heights!
