Welcome to Friday Fragments! This is the place where we're able to put little snippets of fun or interesting things together without having to stretch that idea into an entire blog post.
Mrs. 4444 is our lovely host and I am so grateful for her continued hosting of this fun carnival. For more Friday Fragment finds, please head on over to Half-Past Kissin' Time. Thanks!

This week has been crazy. I love a little crazy, but crazy crazy is insane. Thankfully one of the best things that happened was that one of my friends got her liver transplant and she was out of the hospital in 6 days.
Something very interesting happened yesterday. I had an incredibly full day, after only getting three hours of sleep the night before. Going going going all day. I was pretty tired, but thankful that I had a lot to do. By 11pm I was so tired I could hardly keep my eyes open, so I did something crazy - I went to bed! I then managed to sleep for 8 hours. (for those not in the know - I tend to go to bed sometime between 3am and 5am)
A friend of mine posted this on Facebook -- Sometimes your knight in shining armor is just a fool in tin foil...
I can paint a wall, baseboards and crown moulding without making a mess. I can strip wallpaper, pry dried up, nasty caulk from around a tub and I can fix a toilet. I cannot however, recaulk around a tub or toilet without making a complete and total mess! A friend of mine said this about his experience with caulk - "I become a third grader with ADhD" I think that completely explains it! Thankfully my caulking project is finished.
Have I mentioned that the tube of caulk sprung a leak at the end of the tube and I had caulk coming out of both ends? Sometimes you just have to laugh!

I'm terribly late for the Friday Fragments party at Mrs. 4444's place, but I've got 45 minutes left before the stroke of midnight here on the East Coast. The Friday Fraggers will still love a visit, no matter how late I am in joining. Go on over and take a look!
Have a great day!
Kristin

How you are with caulk is how I am with paint. I don't even have to TRY to paint - - - all I have to do is WALK INTO a room being painted and I'm covered head to foot.
Your experience with caulk reminds me of mine with that foamy insulating stuff that comes in a big aerosol can. I was scared to death to press that button.
As though it was going to fill the room with foam insulation before I could turn around and run. It works great-----if you can overcome your "foam fear".
Lovin the mostly b/w with a hint of color photos. Nice job! (I always make a mess - have just gotten very good at the required cleaning up).
The 'fool in tin foil' comment cracked me up!
I just love the mailbox pics.
Love the mailbox pics. The wonders a little sleep will do, huh?
The mailbox pictures are awesome.
I hate caulking. That's great about your friend getting the liver transplant! Glad you finally went to bed at a decent time; even that is late for us!
