Good Thoughts

I recently started following a woman on Facebook named The Joy Junkie.  I liked the name, that's for sure - I'm all for Joy!  She talks a lot about creating a better relationship and has a free eBook if you're interested.  It's on her Joy Junkie blog.  What I really like are the questions she asks each day on her facebook page.  I'm always up for a thought provoking question!

Today her question was...Do you ever say that you "will send some(one) good energy"? What do you mean when you say that? Do you really follow through?

It is funny how things come up from others that I've been thinking about already.  Just last night I was thinking about the new transplant patients and how I hadn't lit the candle for them.  (The candle photographed above and blogged about here)  I had said prayers for them and spent a little time visualizing good health, but I haven't gotten into the habit of lighting the candle.

I have another friend that received the call today for a liver transplant.  I am not sure if she got the transplant (there's always a possibility that it's a no go) but I went over to my candle,  lit it and put some good thoughts into the Universe for her and for the donor family.

So, I'm going to turn this question around to you, my friends - do you send good thoughts, prayers, etc when asked?   How do you go about this?  Do you stop everything and right there say a prayer?  Think good thoughts for the person? or something completely different?

For me, I almost always visualize the person and think about what I've been asked to do or what outcome they are wanting.

Have a great day!
Kristin

  1. I've not looked at your site in a while...it looks very nice! Question: how do you get a Coolbar ad on your page? Guessing it brings in some $$? I happen to have a Coolbar catalog open on my desk right now :o)

As for the candle & energy....I have a bag of the little tea lights in the aluminum holders. I put one in and light it and send out a little energy 'prayer'. I let it burn until it's gone. Guess I'll go light one right now....sometimes I just say a little prayer for anyone whose name floats thru my consciousness. Like maybe You! ....lm

  2. I don't light candles but I have a list that I keep beside me if I have a handwork project going. I get updates from a couple of prayer chains in addition to other things from here and there. I pray for and think of these people and situations while I knit or quilt.

That's one reason I don't use my MP3 player as much as I thought I would.

  3. Interesting post...
I very rarely light candles for people, although I think it's a lovely idea. I usually say a quick prayer, or sometimes make a note to pray for that person later, but that's dangerous for me because I have a terrible memory.

  4. I love your posts. Usually if I say "sending good thoughts" I really do take a moment to think about them and to wish a full and speedy recovery to them. Most often though I'll send an email and say "I'm thinking about you" It's true, there is no "follow up" and it leaves both of us feeling really good.

  5. Almost all the time I do stop what I am doing and say a prayer. If it seems like a really sad situation I will actually go down on my knees to pray, that usually just comes over me and I'm directed to pray that way. I am sure that I have forgotten from time to time but I also, often, pray to God to remember those I said I would pray for. That when I type those words, I am praying for you, that God will hear those prayers.
