Have you ever used a Polaroid camera?
I have. I bought one about 10 years ago.
I actually don't have a clue where it is now, but I own a Polaroid camera.
The pictures I took were for the most part - awful.
I almost always moved and came out with a blurry shot.
The film for that camera comes out to about $1 a picture.
So that means that out of a pack of 10 pictures in the box,
I usually got about 3 good shots. 3 for 10.
Pretty expensive to just throw away those blurry photos.
Now, however, I wish I still had them because I'd send them off to this artist...
Trampoline
She uses Polaroid pictures that are not perfect. blurry. unusable.
and turns them into some spectacular art pieces.
Take a look!
(click on the pictures to see them larger.)
I wrote to the artist and asked if I could post her photos.
She agreed!
Aren't these just incredibly beautiful?
She describes her work this way..."original collage created from too pretty to throw away polaroid cast offs. they are studies in color, texture and nuance...peeks into everyday life."
If you have any polaroid cast-offs as she calls them, please get in touch with Trampoline at her Etsy shop HERE as she only has a limited amount of stock - and I for one would LOVE to see more of her work.
I am trying to figure out which wall in my house would best showcase one of these original pieces.
Have a wonderful day!
Kristin

i went on the meme list and made a list of the ones I'll be participating. thanks again...
by the way, i still have a polaroid joycam somewhere in my closet, lol
I never owned a polaroid, though I have used one a time or two before the day of digital.
I'd say $1/shot is inexpensive if its going into beautiful artwork!!!
WOW!!! Very pretty!!!!! Who would have thought??? Not me!!!! I can't tell you how many of those pics I tossed!!!! Just to think she could have used them!!!!
