3rd Street diner is owned by George Kouroumanos. They don't have a website or I'd link to it.

ahhhhh refreshing!

*edited to add - The spanakopita was indeed fabulous. It's the best I've had in a long time.
If you've never tried it (taztziki sauce), here's a recipe from All Recipes.com that I just found. It's pretty easy to make I see. I may have to whip up a batch myself!
Taztziki Sauce
2 (8 ounce) containers plain yogurt
2 cucumbers - peeled, seeded and diced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 lemon, juiced
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
3 cloves garlic, peeled
In a food processor or blender, combine yogurt, cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, dill and garlic. Process until well-combined. Transfer to a separate dish, cover and refrigerate for at least one hour for best flavor.

My favorite photo. The bar stools or as I called them - the whirly stools - that curved around the bar. Many people were sitting here throughout the time I was there, but at this particular moment everyone was gone.
Do you have a Greek diner near you that you enjoy?

Oh, Kirby!!! PLEASE tell me this food was as GOOD as it looks!!! This is JUST the kind of place I LOVE to find.
I'm coming down and we're having a "date" and we're going there AGAIN!!!!
:-)
We'll do that right after you come and go camping with me.
Best Spanakopita I've ever had :) It was really really good. I thought I mentioned it, but I guess I just talked about the taztziki.
Come on down! (after I go camping with you!)
It looks so charming! And the food looks yummy too.
Hope that you are having a great week!
neat pictures! I love old diners
We discovered this little gem by accident last year and have been regulars ever since. Have loved every meal. And you MUST purchase George's phenomenal olive oil. THE best! Seriously, do a taste test compared to what you have in your kitchen. His is so good!
Hello Jean! My husband mentioned the last time we were there that we should get some of the olive oil -- so we did! HAD I actually seen your message two months ago when you wrote your comment (so sorry about that) we might have known about the olive oil sooner.
I'm so glad you like the place. It's a great diner.
