POTD - Jaguar Tattoos
©2011 Kristin Corlett
You just never know where an unusual piece of art may show up. Last Thursday my husband attended some storage unit auctions and for about an hour I joined him. I parked near a tattoo parlor, oh I lie, I parked in one of their parking spots and walked over to the auction. When I came back and found my car still in the spot, I rejoiced! and then noticed this delightful Jaguar sculpture. Several of these are found around town, although I've only seen a couple of them. This particular Jaguar was decorated in tattoo art and sits outside the tattoo shop.
Enjoy!

Very funky! I've been listening to a Carl Hiaasen book that takes place in the Everglades involving the endangered panther and some conniving oil well drillers.
(It's read by Ed Asner---;-(. I love Hiaasen's books, but Ed's not a wonderful reader.)
It's ok to park in the tattoo shop parking lot. How many people can get tattoos at one time???
What an interesting piece. It reminds me of the cows years ago that were on display around town in Chicago.
Debby just breathing in the above comment covered my thought on Chicago's cows. A few other towns around the area picked up on that idea. We had mermaid bench around here a few years back. I should post a pic of that.
Nice shot of the jaguar.
That is a very cool jaguar!
Jaguar statues in Jacksonville - - -just IMAGINE that!
