POTD - Alligators

POTD - Alligators

This was a great alligator sign next to this little retention pond outside of the library.  I just love the alligator graphic.   As soon as I started walking closer to the pond, I noticed the ducks on the far side making haste to come see me.  I'm sure, just like my cat, they were hoping that I was going to have some treats for them.  So sorry to disappoint.

Not sure if this is commonly known outside of Florida, but if you see a body of water larger than a puddle assume it has an alligator in it.  I respect the alligator but took a picture of the sign :)

Enjoy!

Are ducks considered alligator food? When we took the tourist trip into the Everglades, there was a huge alligator lounging around on the sidewalk. GG went to stand close enough to take a picture of them together---but we should have had a zoom lens, because there was no way I was getting close.

I still remember reading about joggers getting attacked in FL by them.

Oh my goodness! The ducks are in mortal danger - - - too bad they can't READ THE SIGN!

I know my dads pond has signs on it too. They did have a visiter once several years ago.
