Italian Leather

In Rome I bought just a few things.  I purchased a book on the Vatican Museums (and Sistine Chapel),  I made a few smashed pennies and I bought a purse.

This purse is silky smooth and the prettiest chocolate brown you've ever seen.  I couldn't get the color right in these photos, but trust me, it's gorgeous.

I loved the two little zippered pockets on the outside, but what really sold me...

was this pocket!  (Mocha decided that she had to get into the picture)  The little open pocket that perfectly holds my blackberry was the winning feature of this  purse.

...that and the tag on the inside that said "Made in Italy" :)  I was very happy to have that tag.

The purse was marked at 75 Euro, but I got it for 55.  I don't know if that's the standard discount or what, but I was pleased with the price.  (That was about $82 US Dollars)  The lining is a burnt orange silky fabric that is truly fabulous.

The strap is long enough so it hangs like a messenger bag (my favorite way to carry a purse) and it's so thin and lightweight.

I'm totally in love.

I wish I'd had enough money to buy a dozen because I'd love to give them away.

But I didn't buy more than one and I'm selfishly keeping this one :)

I'll try not to talk about my love for this purse more than once a week!

Hope you had a lovely weekend!

No way! You aren't selfish for keeping that treasure! I hope you'll bring it with you to Alabama - I would like to see it in person.
