POTD - Home

POTD - Home

I'm not much of a shopper, especially for clothing, but I do appreciate great displays and like to seek them out.  Sometimes I wish I could decorate my house like store displays, but I honestly don't have the vision.  Have you ever seen the TV shows about how window displays are created?  (I think it's a Christmastime thing.)  I'm always in awe as to how they go from an empty window to something truly magical and inventive.  This display doesn't transport me to a magical place, but the color combination of the browns, whites, silvers and black are soothing and the def. of "home" made me think of my childhood home.

Enjoy!

Very cool. Sophisticated but comfortable.

One advantage to living near a big city - department store windows.

Emily brought a friend home recently and she told me that our house looked like one of the local stores. I like the store so I was flattered :)

Fisherhubby had something like 29 different jobs BEFORE he went to college - - - in one of those "lives" he was a window dresser in a fancy smancy department store. Hard to believe, but true.

Oh - - - the other hard one to believe? He was a country western DJ.

That is a beautiful display. I do not believe you don't have the vision but you certainly have the ability to capture visions!
