Mocha and my blanket

Mocha on my very favorite red plaid down blanket.  I usually don't allow this blanket to be anywhere near the furry goodness of Mocha because I don't want to wash this blanket more than absolutely necessary.  My friend, Bob, had one of these in blue and she has washed it so many  times that now it's just a great shell with no down in it anymore.  Now that I know it's eventual fate, I do my best to wash as seldom as possible.  I tend to take it with me when I travel because I can squoosh it down to almost nothing.   It's my airplane blanet, my cold hotel room blanket and when we were on the Isle of Man I was so cold outside that I used it as my down parka until I got my warmer clothing out of my suitcase.

Mocha is probably very mad at me right now, unlike in this photo when she was so totally delighted that I made the mistake of leaving the blanket on the couch.  Why is she mad at me?  Because we didn't get anyone to come and give her a treat today or clean or litter box or anything.  She's been alone for almost two days already.  Poor Kitty.

I would love to post photos of the all of the wonderful things I've done the past few days but I didn't bring a single camera cord to download my pictures.   This means while I'm listening to my husband complain bitterly about how Michigan State University is playing today in the Alamo Bowl (while typing that sentence MSU scored a touchdown lol!) anyway, while he's watching the game, I am unable to edit my photos or even really see how they turned out.  bummer.

Mocha may be very sad that we've been out of town, but I've had a marvelous day.  We started off the day by going to IKEA, then we ate at a little tiny crab shack, went to an model home in a condo community on the gulf, took some photos of some fantastic homes and trees and then come sunset we were frozen to bits while watching the sun set over the water.  It wasn't below zero but goodness that wind was so cold and it never ceased.  Now we are back at the hotel and will return to Jacksonville in the morning.

I hope you've had a delightful weekend so far!

I still have my "puffy", it happens to be green (not blue) and is pretty low on down, but not all gone. It washes up beautifully, and the cats LOVE it, the kids love it, and I sleep with it every night! I wish Target would reissue these, I'd buy a dozen!

Goodness, I swore it was blue! LOL

I sent Keetha an email saying that you know it's a nail biter of a game when the kicker throws a pass!

Glad you're having a great trip. Can't wait to see the pics later. How did you make out at Ikea? Did you break the bank, as they say?
