POTD - Watercolor Cat Tails

I drive by these cat tails nearly every day. There isn't a real easy way to stop the car without causing a traffic problem, which is too bad. Today I had to drop my car off at the service center so I took that opportunity to walk home so I could take pictures of the cat tails. It was such a gloomy day and it showed in the photo so I decided to use the watercolor texture to give it a little more depth.
Enjoy!

What an interesting effect! And what a smartie you are for understanding how to do that.
nice work Kristin.
I too love the look of cat tails. I did not KNOW until we lived in our Marion house they they can also be pests - - - they were completely taking over the pond in that neighborhood, threatening to cover it over in tails. AND they were nearly impossible to remove.
Still - - - so pretty.
There is a patch on the highway that for many years I have contemplated capturing. They're amazing, but in an impossible spot to stop. Glad you got yours!
Kristin, that is just gorgeous. I love your POTD posts - always something incredible to look at.
I love it. It's a beautiful shot but the watercolor makes it look like you painted it!
I love it! A little variety in how we travel is always good for some special photos :)
