POTD - Looking Up

POTD - Looking Up
©2011 Kristin Corlett

Looking up through the corn at the cloudy, smokey sky over Jacksonville, FL.  It's been so dry around here that fires are popping up all over and the wind is bringing that thick choking smoke right into the heart of the city.  The smoke sure made for an interesting backdrop to the corn tops which look a little like a frayed rope.

Enjoy!

interesting picture - good that you identified it, because I thought it was grass and you would had to really get down before you could be looking up for this picture.
Floods and droughts all within the lower half of the country - crazy.
Don't get smoked out.

That is a cool photo. Dry here too and when we get rain we get storms.

Miss you!

I'm glad you can see the cool stuff around you in spite of the wildfires and need for some good rain. Our fire danger is high here too, but the clouds look promising to the west. I'll keep my fingers crossed---that's always a winner.

You captured these perfectly with the smokey sky and them being so very dry.
