Second Day

I got up this morning very early, so I could get out of the hotel before dawn and on the road.  I had gotten such a late start yesterday, that I had to make up those hours somehow.  I wanted to get to Indianapolis before 5pm, so I was going to have to hit the road.

I did actually make it out of my hotel room at 6:40am and drove for an hour in the fog before the sun rose.  I had breakfast and got back on the road and as I was turning the corner I saw one hot air balloon then both of them!  It was quite a sight.  I'm so glad that I had my little point and shoot camera in the car so I could take this picture real quick.

I always look forward to go going through Kentucky because I try to find the black barns while driving along I-75.  Some are easy to see, as this one is, but some are so well hidden because they look like a dark shadow next to a house.  I make it a little game to see how many black barns I can find before the next exit.   (unless I'm in traffic, of course!)

I made it to my Aunt and Uncles home right around 5pm.  Exactly when I wanted to arrive, so that was perfect.  I'm always amazed at the directions that I get from Mapquest.  Before I left Jacksonville I typed in the address where I was supposed to go and low and behold it was correct!  I made it right to their doorstep without a wrong turn at all...and to think I wanted a GPS!

Sunday for lunch I'm meeting with Keetha. Goodness I 'm so excited!  I will be sure to take plenty of pictures of our first meeting and I'm sure she will as well. :)

Oh and I have to say --- Congratulations to Michigan State University!!  I can't believe the game they had yesterday against the University of Michigan.  Hahahaha  what a win.  Go Green!! :)

until tomorrow,
Kristin

Sure, sure! What a win. Man, they made Michigan look lame in the first half. (I always root for the U of M, but there are some games when I just shake my head.) Hereabouts we all have some Green Loyalty because Tommy Izzo is a native son.

Travel safely.

I love hot air balloons! I want to fly in one someday. However, I will always choose a helicopter over the balloon if I am the one who will have to pay for it.
