POTD - Locking up shop
©2010 Kristin Corlett
This is the door hardware from the supposed Post Office that I talked about yesterday. It's so simple. A small door knob, a latch that at one point secured the door with a padlock - this was probably replaced with the deadbolt lock. The painted wooden door has been naturally antiqued by the elements as has the hardware.
I get excited to see these old rusty items and yet I'm just as thrilled to see a brand new brushed nickle set on a lovely new door. Maybe a photo of the old stuff in a house with the new stuff?
Enjoy!

Talk about Shabby Chic. That is delicious to look at with all the flaky paint, and the rusty components.
Imagine that as a big poster sized picture in a sleek modern chromey apartment. Awesome!
Love this! I am all about Shabby Chic and now I am on the look out for something like this!
Just look at the colors and texture. Love it!
