Friday Fragments

Friday Fragments! I have been fragmented all week and haven't seemed to have had a complete thought in days.  It's good to know that on Fridays in blogland I can just put all of that down on bloggy paper and get it out of my brain.  Other folks are also fragmented, which is a good thing!  These folks all join Mrs. 4444s Friday Fragments.  I love it there :)  You can read my frags here and join the blog hop if you'd like.  It's fun!

EDITED (a week later)- I was awarded the Favorite Fragmenter!  Thank you Mrs. 4444!  I'm glad you liked my musings :)  I accept the award with honor!

Do you drink those fru fru coffee drinks or smoothies?  This report will open your eyes!  Please go take a look and see if you order any of these items regularly - you may have no idea what you are consuming.
Most Harmful Drinks in America

I honestly believe that we really have no idea what we are consuming in the foods that we buy. I have to constantly monitor myself. Thankfully I don't drink any of the drinks they mentioned in the article as I usually just drink water and the occasional dietCoke.

Love Pioneer Woman and the things that she sees in her own backyard is just fabulous.  You have to see this blog post about a boy and his dog, it's just the sweetest thing!

Facebook Funnies
My friend wrote that she "Read through some old letters today. Man, that was a bad idea."

and her friend said "Try keeping some happy ones to balance things out. Its kinda like how I watch the golden girls after watching a scary movie. It helps to have some happy after some sad."

Ahh, now that's some sage advice! :)

In just a few minutes my husband and I are going to run away from Jacksonville and go to the town of the big mouse.  Well, we will going to IKEA and not to see Mickey, but they are both in Orlando.  Tom is installing some cabinets in a laundry room for a customer of his and he decided he wanted to get the cabinets from IKEA.  I didn't argue :)  I love that place.

My shower curtain of 4 years gave up the ghost yesterday.  I'm not hard on them, I promise, but when I pulled the curtain back two of the holes at the top gave way, freeing themselves of the bonds of the shower curtain rings.  If I'd let the curtain hang with those two spots going every-which-way it would have been the beginning of urban decay.  Next thing you know I'd start leaving the cap off the toothpaste!

I bought one of the hotel-like shower curtains.  It's cloth (my very first cloth shoer curtain) with a see through panel at the top and a detachable liner at the bottom.  Since I can't seem to load any photos, here's a link to what it looks like.  I took a shower this morning.  I love it!!

I have now lost ten pounds. It's been a month. I was hoping for more after a month, but each pound lost has stayed off and I haven't bounced around, so that's great. I went on vacation, I had some tough days, I ate out a few times and I've been walking a little. So ten pounds is good. Maybe I can walk off a few more today in IKEA :) If you are interested in what I'm doing you can check it out at

My youngest first cousin has graduated from High School. This weekend is his graduation party. My Aunt posted the menu as "Burgers (Herb & Blue Cheese) & Dogs, Condiment Bar to knock your socks off, and for the veggies among us, salads galore." It's going to be a gourmet feast. I'm going to have to smell the burgers cooking from a afar as I will not be able to attend, but Happy Graduation, Keith!

That's all I've got for today. I need to go clean out my car so we can get on the road to IKEA!

Hope you have a great day!

Oh, dear Lord. Those drinks! At least I've never had one of them. :)

Pioneer Woman is one of my favorites. Not just for the cooking but her pictures are wonderful.

Congrats on the 10 pounds. Very good!

I may only get a fancy drink once a month, if that! I drink water or lemonade. I need to come back to check out the links. I'm off to Vegas. Have fun at IKEA.

Kristin, I loved your fragments this week!! You're my hands-down Favorite Friday Fragmenter, as a result.

The drink article was really informative. I don't drink any of those, but I do drink a couple that are close (now and then). What an eye-opener!

I also loved the Pioneer Woman link--that was so sweet. And the Facebook funny--very true.

Hope you're having fun!! Take care.
