POTD - All Set

POTD - All Set

This cart was sitting in a corner in a church in Rome.  It looked like it was all set up and ready to be used at the next service.  The marble piece on the left was pretty cool, too.  I love that little person/angel holding up that giant crown.  I'm sure there's a story behind the whole thing, but I do not know it.  There are so many stories!

Enjoy!

The little person/angel holding up the crown is Christ as an infant, holding the kingdom of Heaven in the form of a crown. Look closely and you will see that Christ the infant is being held by his mother, Mary. You cannot see her head, and her hands have fallen off, but the robes form HEr body, as she presents her son to God.

Fantastic shot of the liturgy prepared for the next service...would love to know which scriptures have been marked for service by all the beautiful ribbons.

when we were little, we used Necco candies and would play communion .. Body of Christ, Amen and put the Necco in the person's mouth. LOL
