POTD - Hydrangea

POTD - Hydrangea

This white hydrangea is actually white, yellow, blue and green.    I found this little bloom behind the Gulf Shores, AL condo.  It had a friend near the bottom of the plant that was brilliant blue, but all the rest of the flowers were white.

Enjoy!

did you know that they are white because of lack of acidity in the soil .. I bought one that was supposed to be blue, but turn out white so I started adding coffee grinds, tea bags, and miracle grow acid formula - the next few years they were pink and darker pink and the 4th year they finally were beginning to be twinged with blue .. then we moved. I have 3 of the same plants now but they are barely growing. This is my 3rd year and I have to move them again .. first it was too sunny and now too much shade - i actually purchased more soil so I can move them this weekend. I'm hoping this 3rd spot will give me good results.

I don't know what color it's supposed to be, but it's beautiful.
